Well so much for week 3...

I'd planned on posting another pic this past weekend but work got in the way.

Working on a commercial for McDonalds so a couple of production shots will have to do for now. I'll add more if time permits.

Our bodies are 90% water...

A while back I decided to do a little experiment with water drops and a flash. The idea is you want to freeze the drop just as it connects with the surface of the water. It worked and I managed to get a few good pics out of the process.

For week 2 of my Project 52, I decided to revisit the water drops....

And so it begins… Again….

Well I said I’d do it…

January begins and so does my Project 52! 52 weeks, 52 photos. And just like every journey, my project begins with the first step…

The Street That Halloween Forgot...

I absolutely love Halloween, have since I was a kid. It's hands down my favorite holiday of the year.

When I was young I use to look forward to it for months! I'd plan out my costume meticulously, right down to the last detail (well there was that one year when I went as a clown. At least I think it was a clown...)

Do You Hipstamatic? Why Yes, I Do!

Anyone here use Hipstamatic? I do.

Hipstamatic is an app for the iPhone that turns your fancy schmancy (yes, that's a technical term) smartphone camera into a hip 1980's plastic point and shoot camera. The square format prints, the funky colours and the "interchangeable" lenses, film and flash all add to this cute little app.

Possible Themes for Project 52

Well, I've been doing some thinking (can you smell the smoke?) I've come up with a few ideas I'd like to explore throughout my Project 52. I figure I'll come up with 26 theme weeks and 26 "dealers choice" weeks.

What I've come up with so far:

The Best Photo I've Ever Taken

Back in 2009, my wife was in Halifax for a business conference. I happened to be off that week so she suggested that I fly out and meet her once the conference was over. I’d never been to Halifax so I jumped at the chance. It was November, a relatively mild one for the east coast. I remember getting off the plane and having to take my jacket off because it was so warm! I’d only had my camera for a few months so I was looking forward to taking it out and getting some decent photos (I was looking forward to seeing my wife too, but seeing as we’re talking photography, I can just assume you all know that already). We had 3 days to wander around and act like a couple of tourists.
